Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 100 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 600 mm, Pack of 5 - 3.60 m²) Product Overview Kingspan Thermaroof TR24 100 mm (1200 mm × 600 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board, designed specifically for flat roof applications (new–build or refurbishment) with bituminous waterproofing. With a large format board size and excellent thermal performance, it provides a dependable insulation layer for flat‑roof systems while being compatible with partially bonded torch‑applied multi‑layer bituminous waterproofing. Key Features & Benefits High-performance rigid PIR core with thermal conductivity of 0.024 – 0.027 W/m·K (depending on thickness) for excellent insulation performance. Board size 1200 × 600 mm reduces number of joints and improves installation efficiency. Compatible with the majority of torch‑applied partially bonded multi‑layer bituminous waterproofing systems for flat roof constructions. Facings: Upper facing = bitumen coated glass tissue with thermofusible polypropylene fleece, lower facing = mineralised glass tissue. Excellent water‑vapour resistivity (greater than 300 MN·s/g) suitable for “warm roof” constructions. Good compressive strength (typically exceeds 150 kPa at 10% compression). Durable and retains performance for the life of the building. Manufactured under accredited management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001). Applications / Typical Uses Ideal for structural flat roof insulation in residential, commercial and multi‑occupancy buildings. Specifically suited for use under partially bonded torch‑applied bituminous waterproof membranes. Suitable for new build and refurbishment of flat roofs. Appropriate for use over concrete, metal, or timber decks as part of a warm‑roof construction. Installation & Handling Store the boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from weather before installation. Boards that have been allowed to get wet should not be used. Lay boards “break‑bonded” (staggered joints) and lightly butt joints together. Fix mechanically or bond with hot bitumen/adhesive depending on design. Install over a suitable vapour control layer; carry out condensation risk analysis for each project. Apply waterproofing membrane per manufacturer’s instructions—do not torch directly onto insulation. Ensure edge insulation at upstands, parapets, and penetrations to minimise thermal bridging. Compliance & Certification Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 A2:2016 (factory‑made PIR insulation boards). Declared thermal conductivities: 0.027 W/m·K (< 80 mm), 0.025 W/m·K (80–119 mm), 0.024 W/m·K (≥ 120 mm). Reaction to fire: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP). UK Declaration of Performance (DoP) available with essential characteristics and performance data.
